| So, basically, I was waiting for him for 45 minutes, he didn't come, reloaded a save since before the escort, got him in again and now I am currently waiting for him again, for about 30 minutes. I don't know what to do, the STALKERSOUP guide didn't help, looking for other posts on the forum didn't help, I'm just stuck. If someone could help me I'd be happy. | |

| Hi Swilc Sans.
First thought, did you check back in the village to see if he slipped past you? Sometimes I get distracted while waiting and miss his exit from the tunnel. If you don't intercept him, he just makes his own slow way back to the fire. If you aren't sure, return to the village and use your Contacts list to see if he is anywhere nearby.
In my games the wait for Boatswain is usually around an hour of game time, 15 minutes in 'real-time'. Sometimes he seems to get stuck on something inside the base, in which case a quicksave/quickload after the expected time has passed may free him and he will appear shortly after. Unfortunately I haven't found any other way to get him moving. The section seems to be timer-controlled, but I haven't found any way to 'force' the timer. And, of course, you can't get to the base to check up on him.
Unfortunately this is a case of keep replaying the mission and hope that he eventually reappears. | |

Oh well, atleast I know i am not softlocked now. One more thing though, I've been using the Guide and I saw something called "Level 1, The Collector", but I don't really get it. I know I still have got quite some time before i get there, but I still need to know, when you begin the Level 1 and it puts you back to the Rookie Viallge, do you lose your items, or money, because I really don't want to go through another Le Havre, where I lost 1.2M roubles. Update: I've just got another problem lol. So now, when I try to go to Fang to tell him about the secret cave in Recon, I just get a CTD. I am guessing it's because of the zombies that spawn, because it always crashes when I try to kill them, but I can't be sure. I am basically unable to progress, since i tried everything. | |

| Don't worry, the Levels (or Level-ups) are just convenient points that separate the different sections of the game. As far as gameplay goes, you just continue playing through the story with all of your gear and money intact.
I'm not sure where you are in the game with your final question. Have you found the cave? You don't need to find Fang until you have been there, until then you just message each other. Also I don't remember any zombies being present. Where are you when they appear? | |

But I can tell you this just for the sake of it; The zombies spawned right after I entered the Fiery Cave to tell Fang about the secret cave. To avoid the CTD, I just didn't kill the zombies and left them there, so no problems. Sorry for asking so many questions, but I have another one. At the end of the second guide on STALKERSOUP, you wrote that there is going to be a "Reclamation" part, but I can't find the part 3. But I did see that you will make more guides once they add more content in STALKERSOUP, so is there going to be a update? And also, are the devs working on the 1.10020 update, or is it abandoned? | |

| Don't worry, the game is still being worked on, although recent "real life" events have no doubt slowed things down. It may take a while, but I am sure we will see further updates and the eventual completion of the game. And also, hopefully, a brand new - and stable - 64-bit game engine.
The latest patch (1.1.0019.5) takes the story to the latter stages of the Storm (I think the official name for Level 2 is "Desolation"). Level 3: Reclamation will follow, and (I assume) will take us to the conclusion of Marked One's story. After that, TecnoBacon has said he wants to open the game to further DLC content, so the StalkerSoup journey is far from over.
I am currently updating the walkthrough to cover the major changes in 1.1.0019.5, and when further content is released I will do my best to include that as well. Hopefully the revised Part I, now covering all of Level 0, will be available soon. | |
