Vitamin to war lab

I had a problem with Lukash'e ring being returned and went to sid
and paid a hefty sum to put things right, any got the ring returned
and to up the task to get Vitamin into the war lab got rid of the dogs
and got given the gold bar, and went to go back to AW and again
every one hates me, tried stashing the bar to see if it changed them
but no so stashed it in the war lab, and tried again to get in the AW,
but just the same totally hostile, any ideas whats going on, is it a
bug or am I doing some thing wrong, buggered I can see whats wrong.

Carrying the gold bar marks you as a friend of Freedom and will turn Duty against you. Whether you carry it or not, it shouldn't have any effect on Freedom. I usually stash it in the Freedom base as soon as possible and forget about it.

I don't know why Freedom would turn against you again after you have seen Sid. Did you kill any Freedomers when you were a 'merc'? That might have made them sufficiently unfriendly that Sid's help was only temporary - I've never had this happen, so I am only guessing.

As this has happened to me more than once, I consider it a bug in the gameplay. My scenarios include that which nemisis1842khann describes and others. My MO has done NOTHING to deserve an affinity change from friendly to enemy but Freedom base staff all want me dead, gold bar or no gold bar.

To make it even more bizarre, only those Freedom the the AW base end up haters, all other Freedom are either neutral or friendly.

My money is on a sporadic bug.

Yes I agree a bug is in the way but as it should not happen twice like this, I have not
killed any stalker/freedomers only mercs and dogs, I suppose pass this on up the 'tree
of knwoledge' as I cannot give Lukash his brains when I get them, b###[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] sid.

Quicksave+quickload can get him unstuck, but you may need to do it several times to get him past the various obstructions in the mine. Fortunately, I have found that you don't actually need to lead him out. When all the enemies are dead, I just leave him there and head to the gate into the mineshaft compound. When I pass through the gate the task usually completes.
