Hostile NPC.

Hello,

Not sure this is the right place to post this.

After I took a quest from Baldi at the Bar - to kill the traitor - said traitor spawned in the middle of Rostok. I killed him but I aggroed Arni. And now he is hostile.
Is there any way to pacify him? When I want to talk to Kostya I need to lure Arni away otherwise he shoots.

I do not know if you can reverse hostility and be neutral again, but it may be the solution to repeat the last save when you got a mission "kill the traitor" and you kill him with a canister.

A canisters can sometimes be found in a few places in the game and you always have 1 or 2 with you, in this way, you can kill NPCs without becoming an enemy to others neutral or friendly NPC, just put a canister on the ground, through which the NPC you want to kill and shoot into the canister from a safe distance, when the NPC is next to it.

You can make NPCs friendlier with the Attitude menu (ESC-F). It is a bit complicated, as you have to know the NPC's name as used in the game's code, which is not the same as the name you see when you mouse over them. Fortunately if you enter the wrong name the game helps you by listing all nearby NPCs using their "coded" names. If there are a lot and they scroll by too quickly, look in your message history. Hopefully one of the names will be close enough to be the one you want and you can plug that into the attitude menu.
