Couple of issues. Need some help...

See here some of my problems that i hope somebody can answer. sorry about this not having any order  .

Issue 1:

So when do you exactly get the repair box? people say sid's special mission but which one? the Nimble one, the Agroprom one, the X-18 one, the Military case one? they say the second mission, so the agroprom one i did not visit sid i went directly to barman if it's that one. the x-18 one i did visit sid first and did not get anything. i did f... the military case one up cus i went in shooting everyone beore getting the mission. was it that one?

and are there gonna be any bugs if i just spawn it?


Issue 2:


So the sahkarov mission where you get Ghost and Vissiliyes PDA, well i got the Ves's but Ghost's was nowhere to be found.

I searched these fourms and it seems it's bugged and should be in the last room in Lab x-16 right? where ghosts body is right? so i just spawned the item and fninished but now the pda's are stuck in my inventory.

Should've i not done that? becuase i can go back.



Any advice is welcome .

Repair kit: After your first visit to X-18 you return to the Cordon and talk to Sid. Eventually he should offer you a second "special mission", which is to recover a document case from the nearby military base. The repair kit is the reward for this mission. I don't think there is a penalty for spawning the repair kit, but it is worth doing the mission at there are some other items of interest in the base.

I'm not clear about which PDA you need. Vasiliev's PDA is on his body near the helicopter in the swamp. Ghost's PDA should be on top of one of the cabinets at the rear of the control room where you used the final lever. Later on Sakharov asks you to find a third PDA, 'Vasiliev and Ghost's research PDA', which is on the floor at the very bottom of the the main chamber with all the levers.

I would advise against spawning in quest items unless you are really stuck. Some of them can cause problems if not done correctly.

The research pda mission shakarov gives that says: find Ghost and vesselleys research pda.

I found the one in the bottom of the Spiral brain room but i'm missing ghost's you sayed it's on the cabinet, which room in the pics?

You say Vasiliev AND Ghost's PDA on the floor of the fire anomalies is it one PDA? becuase i have it and it's not updating the quest.

So i searched these fourms and it seems like faulty quest code and it supposed to spawn the pda called pda_priz and the quest itself is bugged. but that post was a long time ago and is it not fixed yet?

Sorry, I got them the wrong way around (I'm not at my PC so I am relying on memory, which at my advancing age is not always a good idea!)

"Ghost and Vasiliev's Research PDA" is the first one that Sakharov wants. It should be on top of the cabinet on the extreme right in your first screenshot. This is in the control room with the final lever overlooking the brain chamber. "Vasiliev's PDA" is the one on the lower floor.

I have never known the Research PDA to be missing, but I may have just been lucky. If it isn't there for you, you should be able to spawn it - although as I'm not at my computer I can't look up the spawn name right now.

I tried everything ches, Ghost's pda is not there. maybe i missed some patches that fix some quest related issues? are there patches somewhere i have to download? did i miss that step?

Anyway, i spawned ghost's pda and delivered them and got quest complete but they're still in my inventory. is that supposed be like that? or bug? is it safe to move on with the quest being finished like this?

If you missed the PDA on your first visit, it is possible that it despawned as part of the level clean-up routine - although I thought quest items were supposed to be protected from despawning, but I could be wrong.

Anyhoo, as long as the spawned PDA was accepted and the mission completed, you should be good to go. You may be stuck with the PDA in your inventory for the rest of the game, but just ignore it and it shouldn't do any harm.

There are no extra patches to download. You are already on the latest 1.1.0019.5 version, which would have incorporated all bug fixes to that point. Unfortunately there are still plenty of bugs to contend with, but we have to accept that the game is still being developed. When the next patch eventually arrives it will undoubtedly include further bug fixes - but probably not for this issue, which (afaik) is not a common one. 

Hopefully at some point we will get a sparkling new 64-bit game engine to replace the creaking 32-bit engine that we have inherited, and most of these annoying minor bugs and glitches will disappear.

I went back to the save before taking the quest and did it straight forward, and it still dosen't spawn. So i can't do anything about it really.
