| Hello.
So, here goes:
1. where exactly is Kostyas' stash at the Radar? I ran all over the forest and all I got was a metric ton of radiation and a few broken bones.
2. I found Arharas' laptop on Radar. Who is Arhara and how do I find him?
3. I've gotten to the point - in game - where Fang and sidekick park themselves at the bar, near the fire infront of the Arena. They have no more stuff to say.
4. I helped Panther in the warlab out, and she left. She later gave me a message saying she'll be at the bar, but I cant find her anywhere (and I've looked).
5. Disabled the teleporter in the Warlab. Took Hologram to the crazy doctor. Gave the doctor the heart of the poltergeyst.
Did cheat however: spawned the Disk for Panther, and spawned the artefact for the crazy doctor in Warlab.
Other than the quest for the military PDA and the Quest for Kostya stash in Radar, I only have vanilla quests active (I've also gotten to the Monolith and was teleported back - kind of illogical in my opinion but I probably don't know the full story).
So, what do I do now, or - if I screwed up by spawning stuff or something - how far back do I need to go?
Thank you. Sorry for the long post. There is no potato.

Er, a couple of questions?
- answers (of a sort) below...:
1. where exactly is Kostyas' stash at the Radar? I ran all over the forest and all I got was a metric ton of radiation and a few broken bones.
There are several possible locations. What is the clue?
2. I found Arharas' laptop on Radar. Who is Arhara and how do I find him?
You have found it too early. You will meet Arhara later and he will give you a task to find it. Don't worry, just ignore the prompts until you get the task.
3. I've gotten to the point - in game - where Fang and sidekick park themselves at the bar, near the fire infront of the Arena. They have no more stuff to say.
Is this the first time Fang has appeared in the Bar? Did you complete all of the Warlab tasks including speaking to Panther after the fight?
4. I helped Panther in the warlab out, and she left. She later gave me a message saying she'll be at the bar, but I cant find her anywhere (and I've looked).
Panther will reappear later.
5. Disabled the teleporter in the Warlab. Took Hologram to the crazy doctor. Gave the doctor the heart of the poltergeyst.

The spawn menu is really only there in case things get messed up or items fail to spawn in the game for some reason. You are missing out on a lot of the game if you spawn things in unnecessarily. There is also a danger that you will miss a trigger point or an important event by not visiting an area where the game expects you to go. However, I don't think those particular spawns will have affected the game.
Other than the quest for the military PDA and the Quest for Kostya stash in Radar, I only have vanilla quests active (I've also gotten to the Monolith and was teleported back - kind of illogical in my opinion but I probably don't know the full story).
How far have you got with the military PDA?
You have done the 'Wishgranter' (touching the Monolith stone). Have you been back to use the decoder that (I hope) you found in Doc's Pripyat stash to open the door to find the Monolith Secret?
So, what do I do now, or - if I screwed up by spawning stuff or something - how far back do I need to go?
If you didn't talk to Panther at the end of Warlab, you probably need to go back there. More of the story opens up after you do Fang's tasks in the Bar (the first should be offered after you complete the Warlab section) and you also need to open the locked door to the Monolith Secret.

) Yes, "a couple". 1. So the clue is : "from the edge of the forest you'll need to go south west from a carriage. Then climb some rocks, the stash is on a tree." 3. I believe I have done all warlab quests from Panther (now the warlab is occupied by Freedom. I do not know whether I spoke to her after the merc fight or not, but I believe I did). Yes, I have found Doc's stash in Pripyat. (played vanilla around five times + a ton of mods, so I know the main quest quite well). Thing is, I really like the mod, and I do not want to belittle in any way the work you guys did on it, but it sometimes gets frustrating: - clues about locations some of which are really vague. I would prefer the system that was inplace for finding Ghosts' journal - a whited area on the map ("search here - this location"). - the way artefact spawning works: I get the immersive character of throwing stuff into an anomaly and waiting for it to spawn the artefact, but I would prefer to use the Transmutator to actually make them itself (I believe there was a mod that did just that - OGSE maybe?). - was annoying at first until you told me to correlate the journal with the task list. Now I understand the system but still the uncertainty of what to do next is not helping. For example, the last mention in the journal about Fang is about my conversation with Freeman. Last mention about Ghost is about me finding the journal, giving it to kruglov and Barkeep giving me some software to decript it and since then - nothing. What I am saying is it leaves you in the air. Thanks for having patience with me.

Yes, I have found Doc's stash in Pripyat. (played vanilla around five times + a ton of mods, so I know the main quest quite well). The main difficulty in figuring out what someone needs to do next, is that tasks can be done in a different order every game, so it becomes a Q&A of "have you done this yet?..." - Spoiler:
Okay, I think that stash is on one of the 'climbable' trees about half way along the valley on the southern edge of the forest. You need to jump from a rock to get up into the tree.
Still trying to identify where you are with Fang. Have you done his Red Forest tasks - get the docs from the hunters, and help Denis? Fang should have given you the first task when he told you to return Lukash's ring. After Denis he sends you to Cordon to meet someone, then sends you an SMS telling you what to do next.
If you have played vanilla, you will know what happens behind the decoder door. You may already have a task to pick up some souvenirs for Lukash when you get to NPP2. After completing the 'gauntlet' you teleport out and another storyline opens up.

I have done Lukash ring quest, about Denis however - I have no ideea, does not sound familiar at all. He-s supposed to send me to meet Astrologer (I know I should give Astrologer the maps but he has not spawned in cordon village) Yes, I have the quest about the "souvenirs", am doing the gauntlet now. It's really something to watch an RPG rocket go straight to you and blow you clear of the roof )

Yes, I have the quest about the "souvenirs", am doing the gauntlet now. It's really something to watch an RPG rocket go straight to you and blow you clear of the roof ) The first mention of Astrologer is a bit of a red herring - he won't be there until later. IIRC, the sequence is: - Spoiler:
- After helping Panther in Warlab, Fang says return Lukash's ring. Also gives task to retrieve docs from hunters in Red Forest. - Return Lukash ring, lead Vitamin to Warlab. - find the docs in Red Forest (there should be a transition in south Radar). - After returning the hunter's docs (which involves a slight detour ), Fang asks you to help Denis in Red Forest. - Next he gives you the task to take the maps to the Astrologer, who will now be near the camp fire in Cordon Rookie village. - After talking to Astrologer, Fang sends you an SMS telling you where to go next.

Thanks for having patience with me. You need to have patience with the game, young Stalker... I've been playing it for over three years, and have not yet reached WarLab, nor met Panther I've restarted several times, when that used to be a necessity and, admittedly, my approach has been different because I need to understand the context and interconnection of all the dialogues. However, I've learned a few important things along the way... 1. The game is huge, non-linear, and there are many different ways of completing it. This is why its players keep on restarting, because it's full of surprises, it's always evolving, and it rewards you differently each time 2. To get the most out of it you have to immerse yourself in the Zone and enjoy the journey, because there are over 200 hours of gameplay and 3,000 NPCs involved. I'd recommend that you visit each area, when it becomes available to you, and explore it. Talk to people. Help them. Keep going back to old areas and become known around the Zone, because completing one small task can open entire new pathways elsewhere. My experience is that everything turns up eventually... To cover your questions above, the clue to Kostya's stash in Radar is correct. I rewrote it in more 'detail' after eventually finding the stash myself. The wording is slightly different from that above, but it's enough to get you the stash if you're prepared to work for it... And while you can 'cook' artefacts manually from the start of the game, a Transmutator is available. The guy who has it doesn't need it, but he does need your help with something important to him before he'll give it to you, and after you've earned his respect - assuming you haven't already killed him... Good hunting, Stalker...

Good hunting, Stalker... Yeh, I'm beginning to understand all this. Still a bit frustrating but, what the hell, I'll manage. As for the transmutator, I already got it. And it still needs an anomaly to function. That was my point, a transmutator Without the need for anomalies.

Ah, I see... Since artefacts are only birthed by anomalies, or under special conditions in dedicated labs, we're looking for a lightweight anomalous field generator capable of containing and controlling the tortured earth energies of every type of anomaly - or in other words, a portable Zone To my knowledge the Zone scientists haven't yet come up with one. Or, to be more precise, not yet 'released' it into the wild. But boy, I'd hate to be near that thing when it got accidentally dropped... It's sometimes possible, under the right conditions, to create an anomaly from the artefact it birthed. Anomalous Capsules, the result of research into this phenomenon using Zero-Field energy, may resolve your problem in the meantime, but to my knowledge only one trader sells them, and only after you've proved yourself to him...

Well, as long as dropping it doesn't generate mushroom clouds... Plus, Russian and Ukrainian scientist usually build durable things.

Yes the game runs fine once it loads. So when you say ' extremely long load times', can you be more specific please? Loading what, and how long does it take to do it? How much RAM do you have? Where is your game installed on your system? Is it installed on a hard drive or a solid state drive? Knowing these factors will help in comparing with other members' loading times to do the same thing...

| Sounds almost like a failing memory issue, whether HD/SSD or RAM. Either that or something quite esoteric.
Have you defragged your mass storage? "Cleaned" the registry? Win 8.1 is somewhat known for "bit rot" so a squeaky-clean system is important.

Knowing these factors will help in comparing with other members' loading times to do the same thing... It takes about 3 to 4min. (did not have this issue on old card (about 20 to30 sec.)) I have 8 gigs. of ram, and it is currently on D of my HD. I ran a defrag on that disk before I loaded it. Will try another defrag. If that doesn't work I will go for another clean install.

If you're describing the game booting up, 3-4 mins is far too long. When you installed the new card did you get rid of the old drivers totally and install the latest drivers from scratch, or did you try to use the old installed drivers? Once you get your system cleaned up, and your card working properly, I'd suggest a full reinstall of the game using the Installation Help guide here, which should eliminate most known issues [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
