I have set the gold bars correctly, or so I think. In all rooms where bars were deployed there's a kind of fire/boiling thing.
I'm following the guide because this Collector level is driving me mad.
Now, I exited the Gold bars tunnel and headed to Courtyards, according to the guide but... Snitch is missing, also the Storm is brewing up there so it is suppossed to find only zombified stalkers. The Guide reads Snitch has no dialog at that point about a task the northern bar so I continued to Collector's 2nd round starting in ATP.
My question is ... Am I missing something important not finding Snitch at Courtyards? | |

On my last play, he was in a shop, so searching inside of buildings may help.

| Yep... also his suppossed yellow/green dot on the mini map doesn't appear.
Again.. let me say that the Storm is happenning in that map ! | |

| Snitch, the Laundry stalkers in East Pripyat and all other NPCs in areas overtaken by the Storm will have gone into hiding. Understandable, as they couldn't survive if exposed to the storm.
I haven't managed to get to the point where the storm recedes, but I used an info portion to "cheat" the storm ending to see what would happen and they all reappeared. | |

| pchester Would you be gentle enough to share that info portion? I'm stuck at ZEP [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and 26-28 so It seems no further progress until next update and I'll like to roam certain areas without the (annoying) storm. | |

Re Obi's reply, pchester, please share it here as a spoiler, so I can email it to myself. I am under the impression that you have shared somewhere a continuation of your walkthrough past generators. If so please also include a link for it. Thanks, TrueB.

(syntax: zep_doc_25,1)
and it will appear on the ground nearby. If I understand kd6dm correctly, he spoke to - Spoiler:
Crest in Forgotten Forest and shortly after that he got a message that the storm was clearing from some areas. I spoke to Crest but I didn't get the message and the storm is still active.
I found info portion - Spoiler:
tb3d_give_storm_update1, which gave me the message and removed the storm from the outlying areas including Courtyards. When I went there, Snitch was back. However, he didn't have any dialogue about the Old Bar, so I assume that part hasn't been written yet.
There is also an info portion - Spoiler:
tb3d_give_storm_update2,
which I assume is for later in the game. I haven't tested it. This isn't the first time a message hasn't triggered in my game, and it is possible that other messages and events are failing to happen in the Storm section. This could explain why some of us aren't able to get any further. Aleks posted recently that there was a script bug that would be corrected in the next micro-patch. Hopefully when this is released we will be able to reload from hacking the laptop and have everything happen as it should. | |

You are welcome to see what I have done so far, but - as before - please understand that is this still a work-in-progress. I have completed it as far as I can go at the moment, and I am now in the process of re-reading and editing it. Hopefully when I have done that I can twist Sword's arm and have him give it a proper proof-read... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

I consider it an honour, considering the incredible amount of work that's already gone into it But also, because it works both ways. Your insights into the storyline in Part 1 of the walkthrough have already helped develop and consolidate the main text files, in addition to revealing inconsistencies in the original text... In Part 2, I'm hoping to discover Fritz' backstory, and how he got his helmet...  | |

No answers yet, but hopefully Fritz' and other 'hanging' NPC stories from Level 0 will be continued as the Reclamation level kicks in. | |

But also, because it works both ways. Your insights into the storyline in Part 1 of the walkthrough have already helped develop and consolidate the main text files, in addition to revealing inconsistencies in the original text...
In Part 2, I'm hoping to discover Fritz' backstory, and how he got his helmet... Fritz also appears to be invincible.
