Cat Unresponsive After I Get The Map

I am stuck at the point where Cat has me get the map from the dead Monolithian in the burned out village. When I return with the map Cat has move into the high radiation area and is not responsive. I have played thru Stalkersoup twice before and never had this issue. I have reloaded many times but it always ends the same way. I would appreciate any help.

Try quicksave/quickload, that will often free a "stuck" npc.

Did you follow Cat or run ahead? Cat always heads for that spot (not sure why, as he already has radiation sickness), and you are supposed to follow him until he stops and then pick up the map - you aren't supposed to know where it is, after all. Running ahead to pick up the map and then intercepting him on his way there usually works, but sometimes it can glitch. If you haven't already done so, try the 'follow' method.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have tried following behind, running ahead, using a quisksave/quickload and even spawning a bloodsucker next to him (he killed it and went back into a coma)

EDIT: I was able to figure it out. The map was not on the ground in the burned out house. As soon as I spawned the map everything worked fine. Thank you for the help.
