| Hi, if a game has been played right through to the end of Level 0 in 1.10019.1, can the saves carry on in 1.10019.5, please? I seem to recall that 1.10019.1 saves if into Levelup then 1.1.10019.5 may be used though there may be some loss, also can 1.10019.5 be loaded just before the end of Level 0 please to avoid this but to keep 1.10019.1's saves? I look forward to your advice. Thanks and Regards TrueB | |

| IMHO, unless you know that the changes between versions do not include anything that gets 'saved' - like text, or textures - then it's not a good idea to try this As you say, there may be a loss, and you might get away with it, but these losses can create unexpected problems further down the line In addition, you'll be creating a new, unique version of the game that no one else has, so there'll be no point in reporting faults any more as they'll be unique to you, and your game alone... I'm now working with a new PC, a fresh installation of Windows, and a new game installation, and I'm already finding problems in the game - like completed tasks not disappearing from my PDA - and I'm still in the Cordon! So I think that the game is already at an event horizon in terms of stability and how much further it can be pushed beyond its breaking point... | |

This last paragraph of your reply, Sword, portrays my very problem. Because in 1.10019.5 Levelup, I got stuck unable to enter one important area for tasks, (but which I could and did enter when testing before 1.10019.5 was released), I thought to try 1.10019.5 Level 0 and it was as though a game that during 1.1.10019.1 worked fine suddenly became super hard including my MO gasping for breath. So, I have reverted to 1.1.10019.1 and am playing that until 1.1.10019.5 Level 0 becomes playable again. I simply don't want to lose acquired assets from Level 0 and want to be able to take them in to the 1.10019.5 Levelup. However, as far as I know, to play 1.10019.5 as released, players were not told a completely new game is required. It definitely seems that apart from one area, the Levelup is okay. But when I tested, I started at the Levelup so didn't get to see if saves were affected from Level0 1.10019.1 into 1.10019.5. Best wishes TrueB

| Hi TrueB. I can't find the post right now, but I think TecnoBacon said that a new game would be required for 1.1.0020, but not for 1.1.0019.5. I had a game-breaking issue in 1.1.0019.5, when there was - Spoiler:
no message from Lightning after the Agroprom helicopter meeting,
which meant that there was no way to progress to the next part of the story. (I sent a save game to Aleks, so hopefully he can figure it out when he has time...) I was only able to continue by loading and playing the equivalent save from my 1.1.0019.1 game. Of course that meant losing everything from my 1.1.0019.5 game, as that was replaced by my older save. Fortunately (AFAIK) there aren't any major changes to Levelup 0 in this patch, so I didn't lose anything important and I have still been able to enjoy the changes and additions later in the game. NB: I have now encountered another game-breaker near the end (which TecnoBacon is looking at) but this is in the new content, so I don't think it has anything to do with playing from a game started in 1.1.0019.1. No doubt TecnoBacon will tell me if I am wrong...
