After my last issue with the crashes in Cordon, I re-installed the game onto my D:\ drive, following the installation guide I've been linked in response to my previous post. After it was done installing, I also got the two patches from ModDB and also ran UpdateSS.exe.

I launched it, started a new game and begun playing, nothing going wrong for now. A while has passed and I got the task from Sidorovich to cross the railway enbankament. Before I did that, I gone to the stash from Kostya, getting teleported to the tunnel I had to cross.

Exiting it, I ran back to the Rookie village to get my reward. Thinking the soldiers wouldn't shoot me as I gave Kuznetsov vodka earlier, I ran past them when they opened fire and killed me. When I attempted to load my quicksave, that's when my game crashed and refused to launch again, getting the same error as before.

Sorry, I can't help with the error, other than to suggest shutting down the launcher window and then re-opening it before starting the game again.

Personally I would advise against patching from ModDB, as they may not have the latest version. Running the updater alone will install the correct patches.

You have to bribe the soldiers every time you cross, or they will become hostile. Repeatedly bribing and trading with them will eventually make them friendly, which has some advantages...

I got just the installer from ModDB earlier and then resorted to the updater but that didn't seem to work either. I also tried closing and opening the launcher several times aswell, didn't seem to do anything too. I suppose I can try re-installing it once more since I didn't get that far in the game anyways.

Should I get the installer from Mega this time?

You got all needen DLLS? (9 types of DLLs at once - readme.pdf)

I think I've got them, however I am unsure as I don't know which ones are the DLLS I require. Could you write them down for me?

There shoulc be like 9: s the game is a merging of multiple 32 bit mods and programs adapted to modern PCs,
it’s a good idea to check your ‘Programs and Features’ in Control Panel and ensure you
have all the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable libraries installed. These are
available free from Microsoft Downloads, and include the (x86) and (x64) versions of the
following libraries
2005 (x86) only, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2017. In total, 11 libraries …

It worked for me. CAREFULLY read StalkerSoup_Installation_Help_Guide_1.1.0017!

Mega is better as it's 1.10012

The ModDB file is only 1.10008, and needs to be at 1.10012 to function properly

As pchester recommends, do NOT download any patches, as you'll mess up your game

Follow the Installation Help Guide step by step, testing along the way as it recommends. Don't rush it, don't miss a step, and you'll have yourself a fully working game Wink

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], that breakpoint error is more for programmers, the last few lines of the log file under FATAL ERROR might give us information to help with the problem. Sometimes it's a simple as turning off extra spawns, but might be something only TB can fix.

The log file is found in STALKERSOUP\_appdata_\logs. Don't need the entire log file, just the FATAL ERROR info if there.

BTW, does the autosave load after a crash? Worth a try.

I reinstalled my game from MEGA this time, without the two patches from ModDB and it's working fine now. Of course it tends to crash from time to time, especially after I die and try to load the last save but I can put up with that.

I do have some new issues though like the textures of Barkeep, Strelok's AKS and I think snorks being all messed up.
